Welcome!
Ours is a story that is ordinary but special. We share both the simple and extravagant things in life. We are the quiet and the giddy, the north and the south, the strong and the meek. On November 6th, we will be joined as one by God to forever enjoy our lives of high and low.
We are pleased to share with you our journey towards our momentous day and as we start a new chapter of our lives, we are glad that you are part of it.
Bouquets of Fun
Finally! Dylan Gozum of Vatel Manila will take care of my entourage flowers. Much debate has been happening between me and my husband as to whether we should go for Dylan or have the entourage+church+reception package with the church florist. Well, I said that Vatel Manila is a non-negotiable supplier, stomped my foot, and that’s the end of the discussion =)
Nuff with that. If you’re asking who Dylan Gozum is, he is a W@W favorite florist, and becoming popular among flower designers. His works speak for itself, he does magic with his creations. I don’t know how he does it, but he is darn good at what he does.
Until now, I still have no idea what flowers should I have for my wedding. My bouquet should be the next priority next to the gown. After all, me, the gown and the bouquet will be on ALL wedding photos. So the bouquet should go well with gown, but not to over-power the bride.
Like I said, I have not made up my mind yet, but I do have a few inspirations that I gave to Dylan. The basic requirement: it should be pink!

I hope I can decide what flowers to choose for my bouquet soon. Time is running out!
Rosemont Garden and Yellow Coco
We had a very nice trip to Tagaytay yesterday with my bestfriend Roy, and of course Liane. Supposedly, my Maid of Honor is to join us but, oh well…
Anyway, we dropped by Rosemont Garden and Yellow Coco to see our preparation venues before the wedding. Bom and I have finally decided that we will both stay at the Rosemont Garden for the preparation and the rest of his family members and entourage will have to stay at the Yellow Coco. Rosemont Garden also has a good view of Mt. Taal from the balcony, and has a cool breeze coming from the lake side of the house. Each room has a bathroom, but only one has a bathtub, which I like because I plan to submerge myself in a relaxing bath the night before the wedding. But the TV, oh, the TV, it is missing! Luckily, Yellow Coco offers an LCD TV with DVD player, in place of a bathtub. Both places are value for money and provides a very relaxing place, exactly what we need to balance the huff and puff of our wedding =)
We also took Roy and Liane to Caleruega for a quick look to what this beautiful place has to offer. Roy immediately noticed the unpaved road going to Caleruega, and I assured him that his car can take it. Liane also crossed the hanging bridge for the first time with Roy holding her leash so she won’t run after the dogs we saw at the park.
Before heading home, we also stopped by to see if the flowers had bloomed at Colossian Garden, but unfortunately the plants are still recuperating from the summer heat. Though we noticed that they placed more lanterns and the net-like decoration looks like it is cleaner. Then there was a chicken running for its dear life, and it was when we discovered that Liane was chasing it! Bad, Liane! But very funny. =)
So, without much ado, here are the photos from our trip (I apologize for the lousy pics, we have to rush going places because Liane cannot stand waiting for mommy Rai to finish her photoshoot).

Monograms
We had a few monograms on our collection right now, one collection is from our college buddy Wecky, one is from a fellow W@W member, Anne. I hope we can choose a monogram to use, all are just pretty!

Philippine Air Force Aerospace Museum
As an update to my post yesterday, here are the photos that I took while visiting Philippine Air Force Aerospace Museum. Although I apologize for not taking photos of the actual place but rather the pictures of stuff that interest me. The photos here also features my future husband, who sweats buckets during our trip, but still sport enough to pose =)

Some Updates
Well, it’s been a while since my last post. Unfortunately, we do not have internet access at home, thanks to the lousy SmartBro signal that we’re getting. So we’re stuck at doing internet stuff at the office and with a strict internet rules at the office, I am left at the mercy of Blue Coat. Nuff with that.
I have good news and bad news. Let’s go with the good news first.
As far as the preparation goes, we already booked Rosemont Gardens, the best place for our preps in terms of price. We looked for hotels within Tagaytay but they are a long drive from Caleruega. Rosemont is the best place between Caleruega and Colossian Garden so we’re inclining to have the preps there. Not to mention the beautiful Taal as photo backdrop.
We also made partial payment to Leggiero Strings, who will be playing our music at the church and reception. I wish we can afford to get a quintet but as far as the budget goes, quartet will do just fine.
Another good news. MyDiamond texted me and said that our wedding bands are ready. We are so excited – no, let me correct that – Bom is so excited that he wanted to get the rings already. I only got excited when I saw the design of our rings displayed at their branch in SM Mall of Asia, it looks really pretty I thought the price is not so bad since we got it at a bridal fair and we got “30%” discount.
And here comes the bad news. We did an ocular of places for our pre-nup shoot, otherwise known as engagement shoot, and we still have not found our place. We went to Luneta and it is way much better than the Luneta I know. The Chinese and Japanese garden are not so bad, but I hate the green murky water that they call pond. I call it dengue.
Then we went to the Philippine Air Force Aerospace Museum. I inquired at the officer and he said that a Php1,000 fee is required for a photoshoot. We inspected the place, it has nice comfort room for changing, but it smells musty. The lights are off, no airconditioning so the place looks dead when we were there. I also get to see the function room upstairs where some officers were rehearsing a dance number with a DI (heh). When we got down to the open field to see the actual planes, we said that this is not the place for our photoshoot. So we left, but I think Bom enjoyed the trip (he loves planes), despite our sweaty shirt and the claustrophobic experience aboard the former Air Force One of the Philippines.
So now I am down to calling TriNoMa, a mall here in Manila, so I can ask if we can do the shoot in their rooftop garden. Hopefully I can talk to them today.
That’s all for now. It is almost 8AM and Blue Coat is going to filter my website again. Darn.
Music and Lyrics
I’m now gathering all our chosen music for the Same Day Edit, AV Presentation and procession and it’s not easy. I hope I can get it done by this week, as it is not an easy task. I have to get the feel and message of each song so that it goes well with the wedding. Bom’s choice of getting Asin’s songs for the wedding will definitely not make the cut (Sorry, darling. Clearly, I have a better taste when it comes to music.)
I’ll post my song choices when I’m done.
Cheers.
Location, Location, Location Part 2
After our ocular to these sites, we should have our place before next week. I am starting to panic again.
On a lighter note, the Thank You cards that Val included in our package are perfect as gift tags for the kokeshi doll souvenirs. We need not to worry about the gift tags, plus our photos from the pre-nup shoot will be there as well. I like it!
So, we better find where to rent kimonos and buy some new kick-ass formal stuff to wear before next week. Please remind me of that.
Cheers.
Location. Location. Location
I think I found where we want to stay for the wedding preps. Now presenting, the Rosemont Garden in Tagaytay. I just texted Ms. Karla and she said that we can visit the place on Sunday. The house is over-looking the Taal volcano, which is the first thing I want in a place for nice backdrops.
The price is interesting too, the whole house with three (3) bedrooms can be rented for Php10k per night. That’s Php30k for 3 nights, so not bad at all. Food is allowed, so that’s double cool. We can have the entourage stay there the night before the wedding, and Bom’s family can stay until next day to rest before they head out to Manila.
But wait, there’s more! It’s near Caleruega! Triple-coolness!
I’ll make sure to bring my camera on Sunday to take good photos of the place, which reminds me, the only stuff I get to photograph nowadays are all related to the wedding. That’s how busy we are.
Here are some of the photos of the place (credits go to Wedding In The Sky)
Cheers.
Engagement Shoot with Val Bunao
We have not scheduled anything that is related to engagement shoot (otherwise known as pre-nup shoot or e-session). It was originally scheduled last Tuesday but because of something, we had to reschedule the meeting. I guess photo shoots nowadays are not just ordinary shoots.
Mr. Val Bunao said that we need to discuss what concept we would like for the shoot. So I was like “What concept? Do we need that?”. Ignorant.
So I searched around for cool themes and guess what? I got nothing.
Crap.
Crunch Time!
No, really, I’m starting to panic. We are down to 100 days and we haven’t done much lately. Work is getting in the way of the preparations and if we continue to go on like this, it’ll be November 6 tomorrow and we will be getting married in a city hall.
These are the stuff that are making me hyperventilate whenever I think about it:
- The DIY Save the Date cards are all done, but no envelopes yet.
- The guest list is not yet final. The entourage list is done so we’re down to the guest list, and it’s not easy!
- The engagement shoot is not yet scheduled and we don’t have any themes yet (are we supposed to have a theme on our engagement shoot?)
- No gown fitting yet.
- I always forget to buy the fabric for my custom shoes.
The list goes on. I tell ya, if I don’t get my big fat butt working, the wedding will be a disaster. Am I stressed or what?
Cheers.
